 Medicare Reimbursement Update 6/24/10
This afternoon, the House passed legislation to extend the “freeze” in the 21.3% SGR (Sustainable Growth Rate) fee schedule cut and increase the Medicare conversion factor by 2.2% from June through November 2010. The 2.2% increase will be retroactive to all services delivered on or after June 1, 2010. This legislation will go immediately to the President for his signature.
Unless Congress takes steps between now and November 30, the 2.2% increase will cease on December 1 and the 21.3% reduction will be restored.
Consider contacting your Senators and writing your Representatives to keep this 21.3% reduction from coming back.
